Job summary

TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, seeks dedicated SEN 1:1 tutors to support primary and secondary pupils across Ely (CB6) and nearby areas. Sessions occur in homes, schools or community venues during school hours, with flexible part-time and full-time options.

Applicants should have at least two years of UK teaching experience, a strong SEND background, and a DBS update service. Driving is preferred to cover multiple tuition locations in the region.

Qualifications

• Two years of UK teaching experience in a relevant setting.
• Experience supporting primary and/or secondary pupils with SEND.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and differentiated teaching.
• Excellent communication, behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• Full UK driving licence or reliable travel between tuition locations.
• DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil's needs.
• Support primary and secondary pupils with various SEND needs.
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to individual learning requirements.
• Plan lessons promoting progress, confidence and independence.
• Monitor pupil progress and complete session reports after each lesson.
• Build relationships with pupils, families, schools and local authorities.
• Encourage resilience, engagement and a positive attitude to learning.
