Job summary

Teaching Personnel's TP Tutors is seeking dedicated SEN 1:1 Tutors to support primary and secondary pupils in Wellingborough and surrounding areas. Tuition occurs in homes, schools or community settings during school hours, with flexible PT and FT opportunities.

Roles require at least two years UK teaching/tutoring experience and SEND expertise, along with strong curriculum knowledge and DBS clarity. Travel between locations is expected, with competitive pay and weekly payroll.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Experience working with primary or secondary-aged pupils.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and differentiated teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication, behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to travel reliably between tuition locations.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil's individual needs.
• Support pupils across primary and secondary education.
• Plan and deliver lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum.
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to support a range of SEND needs.
• Use differentiated teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
• Support pupils to develop academic skills, confidence, independence and engagement.
• Monitor pupil progress and complete session reports after each lesson.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families, schools and relevant professionals.
• Encourage resilience, motivation and a positive attitude towards learning.
• Maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
