Job summary

Nexperia Manchester is strengthening its Equipment Engineering group by hiring an Engineer to maintain and repair high‑volume wafer processing equipment. You will work on a rotating 4 on 4 off shift, focusing on reducing downtime, improving tool performance, and supporting manufacturing KPIs in a world-class facility.

The role requires hands-on fault-finding, strong communication, and a commitment to 5S and safety.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience maintaining and repairing equipment.
• Proven fault-finding and diagnostics skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to 5S housekeeping and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance: plan and carry out PMs to keep equipment running.
• Maintenance and repairs: troubleshoot faults and perform root cause analysis.
• Manage spare parts to ensure critical spares are available.
• Drive continuous improvement within Equipment Engineering to enhance KPIs.
• Build productive relationships with production teams and external specialists.
