Job summary

Nexperia Manchester is recruiting an Equipment Engineer to join a large engineering team supporting high-volume wafer processing equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs and continuous improvement to ensure uptime, quality and safety across the fab.

The role involves a rotating 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12-hour days and nights) and requires an HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, fault-finding skills and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a rotating 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12hr shifts, days and nights)
• Qualified to HNC level in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Proven fault-finding and diagnostics skills
• Strong communication and teamworking skills
• Fully committed to 5S housekeeping and processes

Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance: plan, schedule and carry out PMs to keep equipment at optimal performance
• Maintenance & Repairs: troubleshoot faults and perform root cause analysis on diffusion wafer processing equipment
• Spare Parts Management: maintain stock levels for critical spares
• Continuous Improvement: drive improvements in processes and technical capability
• KPI Improvement: use data insights to identify opportunities for cost-effective maintenance
• Relationships: build productive relationships with colleagues, production teams and external specialists
