Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Semi Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer - Electrical Engineer Bias to support installation, maintenance and repair tasks across a site of over 30 buildings at Rugby, with occasional visits to other sites as required. You will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver planned and remedial works on time while strictly following health and safety regulations.

This 40-hour week runs Monday to Friday 8am–5pm.

Qualifications

• Qualified to BS 7671 (18th Edition) in Electrical Installations; 17th Edition is preferable.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, plant, and controls.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and procedures.
• Self-motivated, well-organised, and eager to learn.
• Respectful, professional, and confident in raising safety concerns.

Responsibilities

• Complete electrical installations and assist tradespeople with wiring, calibration, and alignment tasks.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, emergency lighting tests, and general lighting maintenance.
• Replace light fittings and sockets, attend breakdowns, and carry out water tap temperature checks.
• Carry out testing, fault diagnosis, repairs, and updates to maintenance work orders.
• Use appropriate test equipment and tools, understanding their limitations, while following lockout/tagout procedures. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and attend toolbox talks. No live working is permitted.
