Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Semi Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer with an Electrical Bias to support installation, maintenance and repair across a single site in Rugby comprising over 30 buildings, with occasional visits to other sites.

You will work independently and with teams to deliver planned and remedial works, adhering to health and safety regulations and aiming for timely completion of tasks. The role requires reading drawings, fault diagnosis, and safe execution of duties.

Qualifications

• Qualified to BS 7671 (18th Edition) in Electrical Installations; 17th Edition preferable.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, plant and controls.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and procedures.
• Self-motivated, well-organised, and eager to learn.
• Respectful, professional, and confident in raising safety concerns.

Responsibilities

• Complete electrical installations and assist tradespeople with wiring, calibration, and alignment tasks.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, emergency lighting tests, and general lighting maintenance.
• Replace light fittings and sockets, attend breakdowns, and carry out water tap temperature checks.
• Carry out testing, fault diagnosis, repairs, and updates to maintenance work orders.
• Use appropriate test equipment and tools, following lockout/tagout procedures; maintain housekeeping and attend toolbox talks.

Role Responsibilities:
