Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a experienced Multi Skilled Mobile Engineer – Electrical Bias to join our site-based team in Bury St Edmunds.

You will deliver reactive and proactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical disciplines, working 40 hours per week from 8:00 to 17:00 with some flexibility. The role requires 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold 18th Edition and NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work safely.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service covering electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Undertake work within main qualification and skillset, ensuring tasks are completed safely and within timescales.
• Carry out modifications and installations, maintain, repair and calibrate plant to optimise reliability.
• Ensure KPI targets are met and liaise with contractors or suppliers as required.
• Complete paperwork and reports accurately and on time, in line with company policies.

HOURS: 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (some flexibility required)
LOCATION: Bury St Edmunds

We're looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Mobile Engineer – Electrical Bias to work with a key Mitie client, providing a multi-skilled maintenance service covering electrical and mechanical disciplines, delivering reactive and proactive maintenance in line with site requirements.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service covering both electrical and mechanical disciplines, delivering reactive and proactive maintenance in line with site requirements.
• Undertake work within your main qualification and skillset, ensuring tasks are completed safely and within agreed timescales.
• Carry out modifications and installations when required, and maintain, repair and calibrate electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimise reliability and maintainability.
• Ensure all key performance indicators are met and liaise with contractors or external suppliers where required.
• Complete all required paperwork and produce reports accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard in line with company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 18th Edition and NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline) or equivalent, with appropriate up-to-date training.
• Good knowledge of Building Statutory Compliance and responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
