Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Semi Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer - Electrical Engineer Bias to support installation, maintenance and repair tasks across a site of over 30 buildings at Rugby, with occasional visits to other sites as required. You will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver planned and remedial works on time while strictly following health and safety regulations.

This 40-hour week runs Monday to Friday 8am–5pm.

Qualifications

Qualified to BS 7671 (18th Edition) in Electrical Installations; 17th Edition is preferable.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, plant, and controls.
Ability to read and follow technical drawings and procedures.
Self-motivated, well-organised, and eager to learn.
Respectful, professional, and confident in raising safety concerns.

Responsibilities

Complete electrical installations and assist tradespeople with wiring, calibration, and alignment tasks.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, emergency lighting tests, and general lighting maintenance.
Replace light fittings and sockets, attend breakdowns, and carry out water tap temperature checks.
Carry out testing, fault diagnosis, repairs, and updates to maintenance work orders.
Use appropriate test equipment and tools, understanding their limitations, while following lockout/tagout procedures. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and attend toolbox talks. No live working is permitted.
