TeacherActive Ltd in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support practical learning in a specialist SEMH setting. The role is full-time and permanent, with ASAP start and a daily rate of £120–£150 through PAYE.

You will work with pupils to develop practical skills, build confidence and maintain a calm, supportive environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, strong communication and resilience to engage young people who may have struggled to engage

Qualifications

• Practical skills or experience in one or more vocational areas such as joinery, carpentry, brickwork, plastering or motor vehicle studies.
• Experience working with children or young people who have struggled to engage with education.
• Ability to deliver practical, hands-on and accessible learning.

• Deliver engaging vocational learning and support pupils' personal development and wellbeing.
