TeacherActive Limited is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a specialist setting in Stoke-on-Trent, with an ASAP start. The role involves delivering vocational learning and supporting pupils with SEMH needs.

The candidate should have practical skills in joinery, carpentry, brickwork, plastering or motor vehicle studies, and experience engaging with young people. Salary is £120-£150 per day on a PAYE basis.

Qualifications

• Practical skills or experience in one or more vocational areas (joinery, carpentry, brickwork, plastering or motor vehicle studies).
• Experience working with children or young people who struggle to engage with education.
• Ability to deliver practical, hands-on and accessible learning.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Resilience and calm approach in SEMH settings.
