Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a specialist school in Stoke-on-Trent to appoint a Vocational HLTA on a full-time basis with an ASAP start. The successful candidate will deliver practical vocational learning and support pupils' development in a calm SEMH setting.

The role welcomes qualified or unqualified teachers and experienced HLTA with hands-on skills in areas like joinery, carpentry, brickwork or motor vehicle studies, plus strong communication and relationship-building abilities.

Qualifications

• Practical skills in one or more vocational areas such as joinery, carpentry, brickwork, plastering or motor vehicle studies.
• Experience working with children or young people, especially those who have disengaged from education.
• Ability to deliver practical, hands-on and accessible learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging vocational learning to pupils on a daily basis.
• Support pupils' personal development and wellbeing, building positive relationships.
