Job summary

Just Teachers Ltd in Lancaster is seeking a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision on a long-term, full-time basis starting June 2026. The setting supports pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs using a trauma-informed approach.

You will work in both classroom and therapeutic contexts, applying behaviour regulation and emotional-support strategies while collaborating closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to deliver tailored interventions.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and de-escalation strategies.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Two education or school-based references.
