Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant for a Leeds-based, described provision. This role involves supporting students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour, including one-to-one and small-group support.

As part of a supportive team, you will work to implement positive behaviour strategies, build relationships, and help students re-engage with education. Immediate start available for suitable applicants.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
• Experience working within an alternative provision, PRU, SEND school or similar setting is desirable.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students engage with learning.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to manage behaviour and deliver learning activities.
• Help create a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
