Job summary

Lamledge School in Shropshire is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 5–19 with SEMH and additional learning needs. You will help pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and support personal development within a nurturing, trauma-informed environment.

You will work alongside experienced staff to create a calm, inclusive learning space that promotes resilience, independence and ready-to-learn mindsets across a small-group setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with children within an education setting is essential.
• Ability to build positive relationships with young people.
• Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to access learning.
• Building trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe, confident and engaged.
• Delivering creative and engaging learning activities with teachers.
