TeacherActive Limited. is recruiting for an SEMH Teaching Assistant in St Helens. The role is full-time and long-term, starting January, with a daily rate of £95–£115. You will support pupils with SEMH needs and manage challenging behaviour to help them access learning.

The successful candidate will have SEMH experience or relevant TA qualifications, plus strong communication and de-escalation skills, to build positive relationships and support pupil development in a structured setting.

Formación

• TA qualification Level 2 or 3 desirable.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or challenging behaviour.
• Experience using positive behaviour support and de-escalation strategies.

Responsabilidades

• Support pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour in class.
• Use positive behaviour strategies to help pupils regulate emotions.
• Support access to learning and build confidence in the classroom.
• Develop trusting relationships with pupils and promote a positive learning environment.
