TeacherActive is recruiting an enthusiastic SEMH Teacher for an Alternative Provision in Wakefield. You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to KS3–KS5 students who find mainstream education challenging, focusing on engagement, personal development and confidence building.

The ideal candidate has QTS and experience with SEMH or challenging behaviours, with some vocational or practical teaching exposure.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience teaching or supporting students with SEMH needs or challenging behaviours.
• Experience in an Alternative Provision, PRU or SEND setting is desirable.
• Experience delivering vocational subjects or practical skills is highly desirable.
• Prevent training or Team Teach training is desirable.
• Excellent classroom management, resilience and a patient, adaptable approach.

Responsabilités

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to SEMH students.
• Support and manage students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours.
• Foster engagement, personal development and confidence in learners.
