TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Alternative Provision based in Leeds, seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher. The role involves delivering engaging and differentiated lessons, managing behaviours and supporting students with SEMH needs across KS3 to KS5, with vocational or practical teaching experience highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience teaching or supporting students with SEMH needs or challenging behaviours.
• Experience in an Alternative Provision, PRU or SEND setting is desirable.
• Experience delivering vocational or practical subjects is desirable.
• Prevent or Team Teach training is desirable.
• Excellent classroom management, resilience and a patient, adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to students across KS3–KS5.
• Manage challenging behaviours and support students with SEMH needs.
• Incorporate vocational or practical learning opportunities where possible.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging, outcome-focused learning.
