Job summary

Academics is seeking 7 caring SEMH Support workers to join a specialist education program based in Worcester from September. The role involves supporting students aged 6 to 25, including those 10–12, in re-engaging with learning.

You will provide 1-to-1 or group support, transport students to community venues, and help build confidence in education. A full UK driving licence and car are essential; mileage is paid for journeys over 20 miles.

Qualifications

• Patience, compassion and a nurturing personality are essential traits.
• Qualifications and direct experience are not necessary, but advantageous.
• Experience with children or young people in Early Years, SEND or SEMH is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-to-1 or group support for students.
• Collecting students and transporting them to community-based venues.
• Support students gaining confidence and interest towards education.
• Assist pupils with a range of additional needs which may require personal care.
