Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position in Worcester. The role involves supporting pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours, assisting classroom staff with learning activities and maintaining engagement throughout the school day.

The successful candidate will be resilient, patient, and capable of building positive relationships with pupils, contributing to a supportive learning environment and effective behaviour management.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND / SEMH needs.
• Experience supporting children who display challenging behaviours.
• Confidence working within a classroom environment.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• A positive 'can-do' attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
