Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an SEMH Specialist Teaching Assistant for a specialist secondary SEMH setting in Keighley. You will support pupils across KS3 to KS5, focusing on engagement and learning, while collaborating with staff to manage behaviours and promote positive outcomes.

The role is offered on a short-term or long-term basis, with dedicated consultants and CPD opportunities. Competitive PAYE rates and a referral scheme are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs.
• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils is desirable.
• Experience managing challenging behaviour.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A patient and resilient approach.
• The ability to provide consistent support to young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to pupils across KS3 to KS5.
• Assist with behaviour management and safeguarding compliance.
