Job summary

Protocol Education are seeking caring individuals to support students with SEN and SEMH needs across Midsomer Norton, Peasedown St John and Radstock. No formal teaching qualifications are required; successful candidates will build relationships, stay calm under pressure and provide consistent support to help young people succeed.

You may come from backgrounds such as youth work, care, mentoring, coaching or customer service, and experience with children or vulnerable adults is welcomed.

Qualifications

• No formal teaching qualifications required.
• Experience in youth work, care, coaching, customer service, mentoring or community roles is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support students in the classroom and around the school.
• Encourage engagement with learning and activities.
• Build trustful, consistent relationships with students.
• Support students with SEMH/SEN needs including autism/ADHD.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns.
