Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking caring SEMH/SEN Educators to work in partner schools across Midsomer Norton, Peasedown St. John, and Radstock. No formal teaching qualifications required; build relationships and support students throughout the school day.

You will help students stay engaged, calm, and confident, working with staff to create a positive environment. Backgrounds such as youth work or mentoring are welcome.

Qualifications

• No formal teaching qualifications required.
• Ability to build relationships and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students in the classroom and around the school
• Encouraging engagement with learning and classroom activities
• Building positive relationships based on trust, consistency, and respect
• Supporting students with SEMH, autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
• Using calm and patient approaches to manage challenging situations
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Helping create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment
• Following safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns appropriately
