Job summary

Protocol Education are recruiting for caring, resilient individuals to support primary pupils in Midsomer Norton and Paulton. You’ll help children build confidence and forge positive relationships to ensure they feel safe and ready to thrive.

You’ll work across EYFS to KS2 with SEND/SEMH support, reporting concerns and maintaining safeguarding standards. DBS and right to work in the UK required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Passionate about supporting children's wellbeing and development.
• Calm, patient and adaptable when faced with challenges.
• Confident building relationships with children and young people.
• Experience working with children through education, youth work, coaching, care or volunteering.
• Knowledge of SEND or SEMH is desirable but not essential.
• Graduate, aspiring teacher, sports coach, youth worker or someone with transferable experience.
• Committed to making a positive difference every day.

What We Need to Clear You

• Passport/proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address (such as a driving licence, utility bill or council tax statement)
• A CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
• References covering the last two years, including childcare or youth work where applicable
• An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for three months or more in the past five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
