Justteachers is seeking an SEMH Learning Support Mentor to join a vibrant specialist school in the Colne area on a long‑term basis. The full‑time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.

The school offers a nurturing, structured and relationship‑focused environment, supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs to re‑engage with learning, develop emotional regulation and achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications or experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Experience in educational, pastoral or mentoring roles.
• Knowledge of SEMH strategies, trauma-informed practice.
• Two education or school-based references.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring for pupils with SEMH needs.
• Support emotional regulation, behaviour management and engagement in learning.
• Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and external professionals to deliver tailored support plans.
