Job summary

Pink Tile Education Ltd is recruiting Learning Mentors to join a specialist SEMH school in Guildford. This role involves supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, building trusting relationships, and helping pupils engage with learning.

You will work with teachers and pastoral staff to create a safe, structured environment, support emotional regulation, and contribute to positive outcomes during term-time only.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH/SEND or behavioural needs.
• Calm, resilient and patient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence managing challenging behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeing.
• Genuine passion for helping young people.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Build positive relationships to encourage engagement and trust.
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
• Assist pupils to access learning and participate in school life.
• Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to meet individual needs.
• Help create a safe, structured and supportive environment for pupils to thrive.
