Job summary

Aspire People Limited is seeking a passionate Child Psychology Graduate to support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs across Manchester schools. You will work 1:1 or in small groups, helping pupils manage emotions and develop coping strategies, under supervision of school staff.

The role offers full-time long-term opportunities, competitive daily pay, and a pathway into SEND and pastoral education roles.

Qualifications

• Degree in Child Psychology, Psychology, Education or related subject.
• Strong interest in SEMH, behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Experience with children or young people is desirable.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach.
• Confident communication and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs 1:1 or in small groups.
• Help pupils manage emotions and develop coping strategies.
• Support behaviour plans and individual support strategies.
• Build trusting and positive relationships with pupils.
• Encourage confidence, resilience and independence.
• Support pupils during lessons, transitions and unstructured times.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff and SENCOs.
• Record observations and feedback on pupil progress.
