Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or SEND.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviours with calmness and consistency.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for helping pupils engage and re-engage with education.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH, SEND and challenging behaviour.
• Build positive relationships with young people to aid engagement.
• Help pupils regulate emotions using approved strategies.
• Encourage participation in classroom and practical activities.
• Support development of confidence, communication, independence and social skills.
• Follow individual support plans and safeguarding procedures.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to provide consistent, personalised support.
