Job summary

Cover People are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor for a full-time role in a Specialist SEMH setting. You will support students with emotional, social, and behavioural needs, building trusted relationships and promoting engagement in learning.

The role is a long-term placement with potential for permanency, with hours 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Experience with SEMH, strong classroom behaviour management, and the ability to inspire and empower young people are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring students with SEMH needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships with challenging learners.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring for SEMH students.
• Support emotional wellbeing and resilience through tailored activities.
• Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to promote positive behaviour.
