Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support students placed in the SEMH Base, helping with academic learning, social development and emotional wellbeing under the guidance of the SEMH Base Lead Teacher and Pastoral Lead.

You will deliver targeted interventions, help create a safe and structured environment, and build positive relationships with students while maintaining clear boundaries and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
• Experience in a school/educational setting.
• Calm, patient and empathetic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions with individuals or groups.
• Support students’ academic learning and emotional wellbeing.
• Provide classroom support to enable access to learning.
