Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust in England is seeking a Specialist Learning Support Assistant to join the department. The post is 32.5 hours per week, term-time for 39 weeks with hours 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

You will support students with SEMH and SEND needs, including those without EHCPs, mainly in small groups or one-to-one. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organisational and admin skills, experience with Microsoft Office, and an NVQ2 in Learning Support or

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• NVQ2 Level in Learning Support or equivalent or demonstrable relevant experience with SEMH training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one learning support to students.
• Identify strategies to manage SEMH and support learning.
• Collaborate with Pastoral team and SENDCO to plan longer-term SEND support or EHCP referrals where appropriate.
