Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Salford is seeking a dedicated Behaviour & Learning Mentor to support 11-16-year-olds with SEMH, ASC, ADHD and related needs. The role focuses on building relationships, promoting engagement, and implementing behaviour strategies to help students re-engage with learning.

Join a specialist alternative provision with small classes, where safeguarding and proactive support are core. DBS and Team Teach training are valued but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, SEND or behavioural needs.
• Calm, proactive approach with positive behaviour management.
• Ability to build trust and engage pupils in learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group behavioural support.
• Build strong relationships to promote engagement and trust.
• Support emotional regulation and conflict resolution strategies.
• Help students access learning and stay focused in lessons.
• Monitor and report on behaviour and wellbeing.
