Job description

Position: Security Supervisor / Security Team Leader

Days/Hours: 7 days on, 7 days off, 8am - 8pm

Thomas Webb Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Security Supervisor / Security Team Leader for a highly prestigious and exclusive residential development located in the heart of Mayfair.

The development provides its HNW residents with a 5 star 24/7 concierge service, 24/7 hour security service, housekeeping and maid service.

The shift pattern for this role is 7 days on, 7 days off, 8am - 8pm and requires the Security Supervisor / Security Team Leader to live on site during their “on shifts''. Accommodation, food (with chef) and gym membership to Virgin Active is provided during this time, and staff are free to leave site to explore London etc. when not on active duty during their 7 days on, providing that they are contactable and able to return to site in an emergency.

The security Supervisor / Team Leader is not required to be on site during their 7 days off.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for the night and day team during their 7 days on shift pattern
• Ensuring that all team members are living the company's Values and Vision and are adhering to the codes of conduct and house rules
• Foster and develop effective relationships with all colleagues throughout the business
• Attend daily security meetings and agree to clear outcomes
• Give regular feedback to the Security Manager regarding any work challenges faced
• Enforcing the access procedures for all guests, visitors and contractors
• Actively monitoring CCTV systems at the Security Control Room
• Carrying out regular patrols of the internal and external areas of the building
• Ensuring all security logs are kept up-to-date and document all relevant information to ensure a smooth hand-over between shifts and that all relevant information has been passed to manager’s who require information
• Controlling the daily distribution and collection of all keys
• Immediately reporting any changes in the threat level and take the appropriate actions to mitigate any increase in threat against the building or its residents
• Liaising with the Front Office on anticipated guest arrivals, departures and co-ordinate any security requests and/or requirements
• Liaising with Front Office, Housekeeping and Engineering, reviewing their security standards of performance and spot check for adherence
• Liaise with all contractors to ensure security is maintained at the desired level as set by the company
• Ensuring the accident reporting procedures are followed and recorded
• Handling any breaches in security through to resolution and make improvement recommendations
• Act as a focal point for any colleague or guest security investigation, preparing reports and follow up actions

Candidate Specification:

• A minimum of 4 years experience working as a senior security officer, security supervisor or Team Leader in a 5 star Hotel, private residence or residential apartment building
• SIA Close Protection, CCTV and/or Door Supervisor badges required
• Previous experience working and communicating with HNW individuals
• Solid experience in following strict policies, procedures and security protocols
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm in conflict situations and problem solve, making clear, practical and resolution based decisions
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Professionally credible with a strong, reliable and consistent work ethic
• Polite, courteous, approachable, respectful and professional attitude
• Please note that security officers from a construction, industrial or warehouse working environment will not be considered.
