Job summary

Bidvest Noonan is recruiting a Security Officer – Shopping Centre to be based on-site at a prestigious client site. You will protect premises from crime, maintain safety, and operate CCTV systems while delivering excellent customer service and adhering to assignment instructions.

Requirements include an active SIA Door Supervisor Licence and a CCTVPSS licence (which can be gained after joining). Strong English communication and a clean 5-year work history are essential.

Qualifications

• Frontline SIA Door Supervisor Licence is required.
• CCTVPSS licence is required or can be gained after joining.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Full 5-year checkable work history with documents for vetting.

Responsibilities

• Protect client premises from criminal activity.
• Identify risks and mitigate threats.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of individuals on site.
• Follow Assignment Instructions to maintain a safe environment.
• Complete and maintain the Daily Occurrence Book (DOB).
• Operate the Shopping Centre CCTV System.

We are looking for a Security Officer to join us onsite with our client, you'll be someone who prides themselves in providing professional security services. Does this sound like you?

Security Officer – Shopping Centre

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Bidvest Noonan for a Security Officer - Retail Loss Prevention, who will work at our client’s prestigious site.

You must be able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and excellent customer service to both our clients and service users.

We require Officers to be SIA licenced –Door Supervision & CCTVPSS

What the day to day looks like:

Duties as a Security Officer – Shopping Centre

• To protect our client’s premises from criminal activity
• Be focused and alert, being able to identify potential risks and take action to mitigate any threat
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all those within by protecting them from verbal and physical abuse
• Comply with the ‘Assignment Instructions’ to provide a safe and secure environment
• Complete and maintain the Daily Occurrence Book (DOB)
• Operate the Shopping Centre CCTV System

Job role requirements as a Security Officer – Shopping Centre

• Be smart and well presented at all times
• Have a valid frontline Door Supervisor SIA Licence.
• Also have a valid CCTVPSS License. However, this can be gained once in post. should the right and successful candidate not have a CCTVPSS already.
• Have excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Have previous experience in the security industry
• Be flexible and reliable to meet the role requirements
• Have a full 5 - year checkable work history and required documentation to be vetted
• Assist the managing agent in the day to day operation of the centre.
