Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking a Security Presales Systems Engineer to shape secure, cutting-edge solutions for customers. This technical pre-sales role focuses on HPE's security portfolio including SASE, SSE, Zero Trust, AI-driven security, and cloud-native architectures.

You will lead discovery, design, and architecture workshops, partner with Sales to position security offerings, and deliver compelling demonstrations to technical and executive audiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in technical pre-sales or solution engineering across cybersecurity, networking, Cloud or SASE/SSE.
• Strong knowledge of SASE, SSE, Zero Trust, SD-WAN, NGFW, NAC, ZTNA, CASB, SWG, DLP and cloud security.
• Networking technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS, IPsec, NAT, OSPF, BGP and WAN architectures.
• Identity and access technologies including SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, MFA and RBAC.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, virtualization, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with AI-driven security, XDR, SIEM, SOAR, APIs, MCP and security automation.
• Excellent customer-facing presentation, communication, and solution design skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery, solution design and architecture workshops to develop secure solutions.
• Partner with Sales to position HPE's Security portfolio across SASE/SSE/Zero Trust technologies.
• Deliver compelling customer presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts to technical and executive audiences.
• Engage with CISOs, security architects and IT leaders on cybersecurity strategy and trends.
• Produce high-quality RFP/RFI responses and security questionnaires.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to ensure successful solution design and customer outcomes.
• Build trusted customer relationships and provide technical leadership to achieve deals.
• Stay current on emerging cybersecurity tech and offer flexible support to engagements.
