Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is hiring a Team Leader – Security Operations (NDA) to lead and develop a team of Security Officers. The role requires hands-on leadership while remaining deployed within the rota at a Nuclear Decommissioning Authority site.

You will ensure safety and security across a high-profile Critical National Infrastructure environment, with duties including incident response, patrols, and access control. A DV clearance and a valid driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence required with valid status and DV clearance eligibility.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Experience in security environments with supervisory responsibilities is required.
• Strong communication and decision making under pressure are essential.
• Proven ability to develop and support team members and maintain compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support a team of Security Officers.
• Conduct daily briefings and operational updates.
• Allocate duties and ensure resources are deployed effectively.
• Monitor service delivery and maintain high operational standards.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and supervision to team members.
• Coach and develop officers to improve performance and confidence.
• Build relationships with colleagues, management, clients and stakeholders.
• Encourage teamwork and a positive working culture.
• Support operational delivery and ensure contractual requirements are met.
• Monitor staffing levels and support resourcing requirements.
• Ensure compliance with security procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with incident management, investigations, and reporting.
• Escalate significant issues to management when required.
• Maintain records and complete administrative tasks.
• Support training, mentoring, and onboarding of new employees.
• Undertake Security Officer duties as part of rota including access control and patrols.
