Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking an on-site Security Officer to protect our premises and assets, ensuring compliance with all site procedures and AI directives. You will lead day-to-day security activities, train junior staff, and maintain accurate records to support contract retention.

Applicants should hold a valid SIA DS Licence, have strong English communication, and be reliable with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA DS Licence required.
• SC Clearance desirable but not essential.
• Excellent verbal and written English required.
• Reliable and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Protect premises and people by following Assignment Instructions.
• Meet or exceed KPIs and SLAs to support contract retention.
• Be first point of contact for the Security team on day-to-day matters.
• Deliver on-site security leadership and supervision.
• Train and induct new security officers to procedures and policies.
• Maintain security records and logs accurately.
• Ensure compliance with data protection legislation.
• Coordinate with transport, deliveries and access control where required.
• Investigate security incidents and report findings.
