Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is seeking an Operations Manager to lead security service delivery across contracts in the UK. You will manage a multidisciplinary team, coordinate with client stakeholders, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies while driving training, recruitment and budget adherence.

The role requires SIA licenses, strong leadership, excellent communication, and flexibility to cover high-profile events, including after-hours work.

Responsibilities

• Overview of Carlisle Support Services Management and Finance system.
• Day to day diary management and forward planning for Management team; liaison with DSM and client stakeholders.
• Lead, manage and motivate direct reports including performance reviews, appraisals, coaching and development planning.
• Recruitment of new team members, including organising interviews and induction.
• Organise training sessions, including room bookings and trainer liaison.
• Weekly site compliance audits (First Aid equipment, Fire extinguishers, radios).
• Attend client monthly meetings and other requested meetings.
• Manage ongoing training and career development.
• Network to stay updated on industry innovations.
• Maintain assignment instructions, welfare meetings, risk assessments.
• Manage sickness, holidays, absence and overtime; ensure Health and Safety policy adherence.
• Maintain knowledge of control room security systems (Access Control and CCTV).
• Produce and update a training matrix.
• Vendor management for site contractors.
• Organise monthly meetings, monitor KPIs, and adhere to budgets.
• Conduct budget spend reviews.
