Job summary

Corps Security is seeking a Security Manager to lead operational teams across guarding, CCTV, access control, and reception in the UK. You will manage staffing for contracted, ad-hoc, and events, review contract performance with clients, and ensure quality standards to drive contract retention.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, financial awareness, and staff development through training and appraisals.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of security teams and staff development.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good IT skills and proficiency with common software packages.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all operational colleagues and have a full understanding of the functions covered including - security guarding, electronic solutions such as CCTV & access control, key holding, reception and general business support
• To be responsible for staffing levels of contracted, ad-hoc and special events as per customer requirements
• To liaise and meet with customers and key clients on a regular basis to review & record contract performance, agree budgets and ensure quality standards are consistently maintained, leading to contract retention
• Attend monthly KPI meetings with the client
• Monitor and manage revenue and costs in line with the current contract costing model and prepare monthly forecasts
• Lead, manage and motivate direct reports, conduct annual appraisals or job chats
• Identify areas for additional business, from both current & potential customers
• Drive technology, intelligence and innovation within the security guarding portfolio
• Manage personal training and career development, attend training sessions as and when required
• Check and maintain the accuracy of the monthly & ad hoc invoicing to clients
• Participate in Out of Hours/Duty Executive process as and when required
• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential
• A valid SIA CCTV License - desirable
• Previous Security Management experience.
• Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.
• Full UK Driving License - desirable
• Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
• Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards
