Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Security Officer for a busy client site in Taunton. You will protect people, property and assets while delivering a professional and approachable service to employees and visitors.

As part of a dedicated team, you will monitor security and fire systems, manage access points, and conduct patrols, upholding health and safety policies and ensuring a safe, secure environment on site.

Qualifications

• Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
• Valid SIA Licence is required.
• Previous experience in a security role is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the safety and security of buildings, personnel, and visitors across the site.
• Act as a first point of contact, providing a professional, friendly and helpful service.
• Monitor fire, security and building management systems, responding appropriately to incidents.
• Support a safe working environment by following Health & Safety policies and reporting hazards, damage, or defects.
• Control access points, barriers, and support traffic management across the site.
• Carry out regular patrols and ensure security procedures are consistently followed.
