Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a vigilant security officer to protect clients, premises, and the public. You will conduct regular patrols, monitor access points, respond to alarms and incidents, and prepare detailed incident reports while maintaining a professional presence.

The role requires strong communication, calm decision-making under pressure, and flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays. An SIA licence is required, prior security experience preferred, and you will join a leading

Qualifications

• SIA licence is required.
• Experience in security is preferred but not essential.
• Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Good physical fitness to perform patrols and respond to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of premises to prevent intrusion or detect unusual activity.
• Monitor and control access points to authorize entry for only approved personnel.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, mitigating risks.
• Prepare detailed incident reports logging all security-related activities and occurrences.
• Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter unauthorized activity and reassure clients and the public.
• Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, as required.
• Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security policies and procedures.
• Liaise with emergency services, law enforcement, and other stakeholders as needed.
