Job summary

Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust is seeking Security Officers (Band 3) to help maintain security across hospital premises. You will patrol, monitor CCTV from a dedicated Control room, control access and respond to alarms and incidents, working with staff and external agencies.

The role requires strong communication skills, IT literacy, and a valid SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV licence. A full driving licence is essential and 4x12-hour shifts are included.

Qualifications

• SIA Door Supervisor and SIA CCTV licenses are required.
• A full driving licence is essential.
• Good written and verbal communication and IT literacy are required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital premises and monitor CCTV from the Control room.
• Control access to restricted areas and respond to alarms, emergencies and security incidents.
• Work with clinical staff, management and external agencies to manage risks.
