Job summary

Securitas UK in Northampton is hiring a Security Officer to protect people, property and information while delivering outstanding service. You’ll be the professional, visible presence on site during 4 on/4 off shifts from 6am to 6pm, earning £13.45 per hour.

Your day-to-day duties include monitoring CCTV and alarms, conducting internal and external patrols, controlling site access, and assisting with traffic and parking management.

Qualifications

  • Valid SIA licence.
  • Flexibility to work days, nights & weekends.
  • The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.

  • Strong communication skills in English - both written and spoken.

As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in protecting our client's employees, property, and assets while delivering exceptional customer service. Working in line with site assignment instructions and customer requirements, you will act as a professional and visible presence on site, demonstrating the core values of integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness at all times

As a Security Officer, your key responsibilities include monitoring CCTV, fire and intruder alarm systems, conducting regular internal and external patrols, controlling site access, and preventing unauthorised entry. You will also assist with traffic and parking management, carry out routine security equipment checks, manage keys and locking procedures, and ensure all site security processes are followed to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities
Job Description

You'll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

  • Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
  • Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
  • Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
  • Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
  • Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
  • Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
  • Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises
