Job summary

Securitas UK in Northampton is seeking a Security Officer to protect people, property and information while delivering an exceptional customer experience. You’ll work on site, conduct patrols, monitor CCTV and alarms, control access, and maintain accurate records.

The role requires a valid SIA licence, flexibility to work days, nights and weekends, and the right to work in the UK. You’ll join a team that values integrity, vigilance and helpfulness, with learning opportunities and benefits from

Responsibilities

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate.
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.

Location: Northampton, NN4 7SG
Pay: £13.94 per hour
Hours: 56 hours per hour: Working 3 days, 4 nights then 3 days off & then 4 days, 3 nights then 4 days off (7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am)

As a Security Officer, you will play a key role in protecting people, property, and assets while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Working in line with site procedures and customer requirements, you will maintain a safe and secure environment, demonstrating the highest standards of integrity, vigilance, and professionalism at all times

The role as a Security Officer includes conducting internal and external patrols, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, controlling site access, issuing visitor passes, managing keys, and carrying out locking and unlocking duties. You will also maintain accurate records, support traffic and parking management, perform routine equipment checks, and respond appropriately to security incidents, lost property, and other site-related issues.
