Job summary

Canary Riverside Plaza London, Vignette Collection by IHG is seeking a motivated Security Team Member to join our luxury hotel team on a 24-hour per week schedule. The role is part-time, with weekend work and late shifts, delivering safety and guest service with discretion and professionalism.

You will patrol the property, monitor CCTV, manage access control, and respond to incidents while coordinating with guests and emergency services.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering security in hotel, leisure or guest-facing environments.
• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (Security Industry Authority) is essential.
• Confident communicator and able to stay calm under pressure.
• Flexible to work late nights, weekends and varied hours.

We are looking for someone who can work Part-Time across 24 hours per week. Weekend availability is essential for this role.

To be successful in this role, you will be responsible for a range of duties while demonstrating the following skills and experience…

• Working behind the scenes and on the front line to ensure our Hotel is a safe and secure environment for our guests and colleagues (carrying out regular patrols, monitoring CCTV, managing access control, and responding to incidents when they arise) – previous experience working as a Security Officer within a Hotel, Leisure or Customer-Facing environment is preferred!
• Ensuring the Hotel remains fully compliant with all Health & Safety and Security regulations (keeping up to date with any changes to legislation) – holding a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (Security Industry Authority) is essential for this role, as is a strong understanding of safety and emergency procedures.
• You will be a confident communicator and calm under pressure – liaising regularly with guests, colleagues, and emergency services, while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Shifts will include late nights, weekends, and a variety of hours, so flexibility is key!
