Job summary

Mitie is hiring a Retail Security Officer for the Lidl Blackwater store. The role offers 30+ hours per week on a 4 on 4 off pattern with overtime available for holiday/absence cover and a pay rate of £13.45 per hour. Qualifications

• Must hold a Door Supervision or Security Guarding license.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor.
• Safely detain offenders following training.
• Use CCTV and EAS gates to monitor store activity.
• Collaborate with covert security operatives.
• Investigate losses and support enquiries about known offenders.

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor
• Safely detain offenders following H&S training
• Utilize store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates
• Collaborate with covert security operatives
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation
• Report crime incidents using a company-provided tablet
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety
• Record patrols in daily activity sheets
• Provide security updates during store briefings
• Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all

Qualifications:

• Door Supervision or Security Guarding License
• Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or education

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience in a retail security role
