Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is recruiting for Relief Retail Security Officers to cover Lidl stores around Greenford, North Greenford and Northolt. The role pays £14.80 per hour with weekday and weekend shifts. You must drive or have access to your own vehicle to reach multiple sites.

You will act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor, detain offenders when necessary, operate CCTV/EAS systems, investigate losses, and complete incident reports. Full training and induction provided.

Qualifications

• Door Supervision or Security Guarding License is required.
• Five-year checkable employment history or evidence of unemployment/education is required.
• Driving licence and access to own vehicle are required.
• Previous experience in a retail security role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor (Retail environment).
• Safely detain offenders following health and safety training.
• Utilise store security systems including CCTV and EAS gates.
• Collaborate with covert security operatives.
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders.
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation.
• Record patrols in daily activity sheets.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor
• Safely detain offenders following H&S training
• Utilize store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates
• Collaborate with covert security operatives
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation
• Report crime incidents using a company-provided tablet
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety
• Record patrols in daily activity sheets
• Provide security updates during store briefings
• Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all

Qualifications:

• Door Supervision or Security Guarding License
• Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or education
• Driving licence and access to own vehicle
• Previous experience in a retail security role
