Job summary

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor.
• Safely detain offenders following H&S training.
• Utilize store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates.
• Collaborate with covert security operatives.
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders.
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation.
• Report crime incidents using a company-provided tablet.
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety.
• Record patrols in daily activity sheets.
• Provide security updates during store briefings.
• Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all.

Location: St Marychurch Road, Torquay (TQ1 3HL)

Position: 17 hours per week, overtime available for holiday/absence cover

Pay: £14.30 per hour

Shifts: Sundays and Mondays with the option of overtime to cover leave and absence.
