Job summary

National Gas in Warwick is seeking a Governance Analyst to support the establishment, maintenance and continual improvement of governance frameworks across IT, OT, CNI, Physical Security and Cyber Security.

You will help develop, communicate, adopt and measure security policies and standards, working with security, risk, compliance, technology and operations teams to ensure regulatory expectations are met and governance practices are consistently applied across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) or related discipline.
• Experience supporting or administering security policies, standards, or governance processes.
• Understanding of IT, Cyber Security, and/or Operational Technology (OT) environments.
• Experience producing reporting, dashboards, or management information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.
• Strong MS Office suite experience, including SharePoint
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical, operational, and business stakeholders.
• Experience working in, or understanding of, Critical National Infrastructure (desirable), or regulated environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIS/NIS2, IEC 62443 (OT security).
• Awareness of cyber and physical security governance principles.
• Relevant professional certifications or willingness to pursue (e.g., Security+, ISO 27001 Internal Auditor, CISMP)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise security policy framework across IT, OT, CNI, Physical Security, and Cyber Security.
• Review policies and standards to ensure regulatory alignment and risk appetite.
• Manage policy lifecycle: drafting, consultation, approval, publication, refresh.
• Maintain the security standards library with traceability to controls and obligations.
• Support governance forums and boards with materials and action tracking.
• Promote adoption of practical, implementable policies and standards.
• Support security culture, awareness campaigns and audience-specific messaging.
• Produce governance reporting and dashboards and provide MI for risk-informed decisions.
• Compile regulatory reports and responses to Ofgem, DESNZ and other regulators for GRC.
