Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Security Architect to join our UK Defence project team. You will design, implement and maintain security architectures to safeguard client data and systems, aligning with Defence and industry standards.

We value strong communication with senior stakeholders, robust analytical skills, and the ability to produce clear technical documentation. Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption and threat management is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex security challenges.
• Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Designing Security Architecture. Create and oversee robust security architectures for the ICT capabilities being designed for the client.
• Strategic Alignment. Ensure security architectures align with client's business strategy and technology goals.
• Threat and Vulnerability Management. Identify, assess, and communicate threats and vulnerabilities; perform risk analyses and security assessments.
• Security Solution Design and Evaluation. Research and recommend security technologies and solutions to mitigate identified threats.
• Policy and Procedure Development. Define, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Incident Response and Management. Develop incident response plans and coordinate detection, analysis and response to incidents.
• Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration. Communicate complex security concepts to diverse stakeholders, including senior management.
