Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Enterprise Architect to shape client IT infrastructures for projects spanning Critical National Infrastructure, National Security, Defence and Nuclear sectors. You will align IT architectures with business goals and guide technology decisions to support long-term objectives.

The role demands deep analytical ability, excellent stakeholder engagement, and the ability to produce clear technical documentation while mentoring teams and ensuring governance across programmes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to architect complex solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across levels.
• Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to lead, mentor and collaborate within high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Business Strategy Alignment: Analyse clients’ business strategy and objectives to identify critical success factors.
• IT Infrastructure and Systems: Evaluate existing IT infrastructure and identify improvements.
• Enterprise Architecture Modelling: Develop models representing clients’ IT landscapes.
• IT Strategy and Roadmap: Formulate long-term IT strategies with future investments.
• Project Governance and Oversight: Guide IT projects to align with architecture and business goals.
• Innovation and Technology Assessment: Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
• Communication and Stakeholder Management: Engage executives, business units, IT teams for alignment and buy-in.
• Risk Management and Compliance: Identify IT risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Continuous Improvement: Ensure architectures stay aligned with business needs.
